Installation Instruction:
Please note the basic rules given in the Kaindl Flooring Installation Guide
Kaindl laminate flooring with CCS-Clips are laid 'floating'.
Please always use an underlayment such as the Kaindl Flooring-Protect System-Underlayer, a PE foam film or the equivalent with a thickness of 3 mm in order to compensate for the clips.
Lay the first panel with its tongue facing the wall. The tongues must be removed from the panels in the first row. If the wall does not run straight, you should refer to the Kaindl Installation Guide.
Calculate the width of the final row of panels. If it is narrower than 70 mm, you must adjust the width of the first row of panels accordingly.
Before laying the panel, fit the CCS-Clips to the groove side of the panel (see Figure 1). Secure 4 CCS-Clips on the longitudinal side (see panel marking) of an entire panel and one CCS-Clip in the middle of the transverse side.
Each new row must be staggered by a half panel length from the preceding row (see Figure 2). By doing this, an optimal bonding of the panels is assured. oStraighten the first row and fix to the transverse sides of the panels. Make sure that a distance of 10 to 15 mm is left from the panel to the wall. Use supplied spacers.
With the subsequent rows you must always join-up the longitudinal sides first. The panel is fitted onto the CCS-Clip at an angle of between 45° and 90°. It should be lowered and pressed against the preceding row of panels at the same time (Figure 3). Make sure that the panel is 6-14 mm distance from the front side of the preceding panel. Note the correct elevation of the panels in order to be sure that the tongues fit into the grooves along the entire length of the panel; otherwise you could end-up with faulty spots (see Figure 4).
Now you can close the transverse seams (see Figures 5). Bring the panels into the right elevation, then use your right hand to push sideways in a longitudinal direction until the transverse joint is closed if necessary you may use the hammer and tapping block). Use your left hand to bring the panel to the right elevation see Figure 6). The spring shackle of the CCS-Clip clicks audibly into the groove.
General:
Seams of up to 0.2 mm in width are within the tolerance range.
Being a natural material, wood is subject to dimensional changes or seams openings due to changes in climatic conditions.
The ideal indoor climate is between 20-22 °C with a relative air humidity of 50-60%. These climatic conditions should be kept as constant as possible.
Throughout the home and also in commercial applications where the flooring is subject to only moderate traffic, we recommend Service Category 31 as per EN 685.
The CCS-Clip system is intended for residential use. When using in commercial applications, tongue and groove must be glued. For floor care please refer to the general Kaindl Flooring guidelines.
